With qualifications in interior design and architecture, their expertise lies in taking projects from concept through to completion, re-imagining spaces from the inside out. Blending their respective skills in structure, form, curation and styling, they deliver bespoke homes that are highly resolved, right down to the last design detail.
Angela Steyn – Interior Designer & Stylist

Angela is the acclaimed principal interior designer and founder of AS&CO. After starting her professional life as a lawyer, she soon realised that her soul sought a more creative path. With over 15 years experience in design, Angela has developed a reputation for her calm, thoughtful approach to interior design which allows her to create homes that deeply resonate with her clients. Drawing on her country childhood spent roaming the paddocks and outbuildings of her family’s sheep and cattle property, Angela is passionate about the positive impact of beautiful surroundings on mental wellbeing, believing that everyone should live in an environment that connects them with nature and brings them daily joy. Her guiding principle is that every aspect of the design must enhance her client’s experience of the world around them, creating a long-lasting emotional connection.
Andre Steyn – Building Designer

Andre was schooled in mid-century modernist architecture and is a proud Frank Lloyd Wright disciple. He studied, registered and worked in South Africa as a professional Architect before crossing the Indian Ocean to settle in Sydney. Andre is passionate about creating organic spaces that sit harmoniously within their environment, believing that architecture and interior design must sit hand-in-hand to achieve the best outcomes for the client. A highly skilled 3D CAD and BIM practitioner with over 20 years’ building experience, he loves surprising clients with ideas they could never have imagined possible.
Angela and Andre live a stone’s throw from Avalon Beach with their three children and a taciturn British Blue called Daphne. They immerse themselves in nature at every opportunity, taking inspiration from the stunning coastal landscape that surrounds them.
